At Samares School, we aim for our children to have a broad understanding of careers available to them and have high aspirations for their own careers for the future. We aim to provide children with the information and support to understand how different training and education can provide a variety of opportunities for the future and thrive as members of society. 

At Samares school, we organise a minimum of 1 KS2 careers fair every year to provide children with the opportunity to meet a range of professionals and create high aspirations about their own future careers. Children across Samares School have the opportunity to meet and learn from journalists, garden managers, plumbers, artists, midwives, paediatric cardiologists and many other incredible careers.

In October 2025 the school were awarded a gold award in The Primary Futures Recognition Scheme. This national recognition celebrates schools who are going above and beyond to embed career-related learning into primary education.
